We are looking for a passionate Assistant Store Manager to help us create exceptional dining experiences at our new Farringdon fresh pasta store and restaurant. The role involves not only cooking and serving the freshest pasta but also opening doors to one of the coolest locations in town.
Imagine chefs making fresh pasta in the store window, vibrant Italian music, the aroma of ragù, in-store pasta making classes, delivery drivers on terracotta Vespas, and more.
As Assistant Store Manager, you will lead by example, oversee operations during your shift, and foster a positive environment where our passion for authentic Italian cuisine shines. What you'll do at Pasta Evangelists:
- Manage the restaurant floor and kitchen, ensuring smooth operations.
- Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and operational standards in front and back of house.
- Oversee kitchen and dining areas, ensuring each dish is a masterpiece. Participate in food preparation as needed, with training provided.
- Be the primary point of contact for front and back of house staff.
- Address challenges proactively and make quick, effective decisions to ensure seamless service.
- Engage warmly with guests, assist with menu exploration, provide personalized recommendations, and answer questions passionately.
- Participate in preparing pasta dishes that look as good as they taste.
- Train new team members and conduct ongoing training to keep the team sharp.
- Manage shifts and time-off requests to ensure full staffing.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and honestly.
- Assist with budget planning and cost control strategies.
- Conduct regular Food and Safety & Hygiene checks and address issues promptly.
- Maintain a positive atmosphere during busy shifts.
Who you are:
- Experienced as an Assistant Store Manager or similar role in hospitality, with knowledge of running a busy restaurant.
