ASSISTANT RESTAURANT GENERAL MANAGER, THE AUBREY

39 hours, 5 days per week

We’re looking for an Assistant General Manager - The Aubrey to join our Food & Beverage team.

As an Assistant General Manager – The Aubrey at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, we expect from you:

  • Work with the Restaurant General Manager to execute our business plan and achieve financial and quality goals.
  • Assist the Restaurant General Manager in implementing Legendary Quality Standards throughout the Restaurant.
  • Manage day-to-day operations on the floor, leading the Floor Managers and supporting the Restaurant General Manager to ensure exceptional service for our guests.
  • Monitor and ensure successful onboarding, training, and development of the team.
  • Respond proactively to guest queries and ensure appropriate action is taken to deliver exceptional service.
  • Deputize for the Restaurant General Manager in their absence.
  • Support the Restaurant General Manager with office tasks including rota, purchase orders, and more.
  • Drive the restaurant culture and motivate, encourage, and guide the team.

As an Assistant General Manager, you will be working on a rotating shift basis, Monday to Sunday, 39 hours a week. Shift patterns will vary from mainly evening and night shifts to morning on the weekend (including weekends and bank holidays), so flexibility is required.

To be a successful Assistant General Manager candidate, you will have previous experience managing a team in a high-quality and fast-paced establishment. You will be looking for the next step in your career and ideally have worked in a nightlife environment.
