Job description

Overview

A fantastic opportunity to join the Respiratory Physiology Department. This role will support the Respiratory team at the Bristol Royal Infirmary in caring for and managing a variety of lung conditions, by assessing the lung function of our patients.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the provision of Respiratory Physiology services at Bristol Royal Infirmary, Bristol Royal Hospital for Children & South Bristol Community Hospital for patients referred for Lung Function assessment via GP, Surgical specialties, UHBW Wards and Outpatient services.
• Responsible for supporting an efficient and high-quality service in the field of Respiratory Physiology and to provide the very best care and efficient treatment of patients during their stay in the department.
• Undertakes a range of routine Lung Function procedures to a high level of competence on patients, including spirometry, fractional exhaled nitrous oxide (FeNO) test, assisting in cardiopulmonary exercise tests and six-minute walk tests.
