A leading healthcare provider in London is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant Practitioner to support women's health research. In this role, you'll assist in participant recruitment, data management, and sample collection for groundbreaking studies. Ideal for candidates eager to learn and contribute to vital health research, with a friendly and supportive team environment. Flexible working options and career development opportunities available.
The Women’s Health Research Centre (WHRC) at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Imperial College London is dedicated to making a real difference in women’s reproductive health and childbirth. Our work is centred on improving care, outcomes and experiences, and we are now looking for someone who shares this passion to join us as a Clinical Research Assistant Practitioner.
This exciting new role will focus on the Generation Study, sponsored by Genomics England, which is exploring the possibility of screening newborn babies for around 200 rare conditions at birth using umbilical cord blood. As part of the team, you will be involved in collecting samples, registering participants, managing data and supporting families who take part. You will also help with ordering essential supplies and play an active role in participant recruitment.
What makes this role unique is the chance to be part of a friendly, committed research team where you will be supported to learn and develop specialist skills. While much of your time will be spent on the Generation Study, you may also have the opportunity to work on other research projects in gynaecology and maternity, gaining valuable experience across a wide range of women’s health research.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, curious and eager to learn. Attention to detail, good communication skills and a willingness to work closely with colleagues and participants are qualities that will help you thrive in this role.
