Job summary

Sanctuary in Glasgow is recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the Regional Commercial team. You will assist in budgeting, cost control, and reporting while carrying out on-site surveys as directed.

The role involves maintaining financial monitoring systems and building strong stakeholder relationships to ensure value for money and quality. The successful candidate will have a Quantity Surveying qualification (Degree/HND/HNC) and strong MS Office skills, with a focus on effective

Qualifications

• Qualified to Degree, HND or HNC in Quantity Surveying or Construction; original certification required
• Experience managing commercial administration for reinvestment programmes and ad hoc capital projects in a social housing or similar environment
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong communication and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Assist the Regional Quantity Surveyor with preparing costs, budget monitoring and reporting
• Carry out on-site surveys as directed by the Regional Quantity Surveyor
• Help deliver projects on budget while ensuring value for money and quality standards
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders
• Maintain accurate financial monitoring systems and reports for service delivery and budgets
• Support operational teams by delivering and improving commercial and administrative processes
• Attend projects and commercial meetings, track risks, and support reporting requirements
• Maintain purchase order values and support invoice management processes
