Role Overview:

Our client is a large Contractor based in West London, specializing in innovative, high-quality refurbishment projects for Social Housing. They offer tailored interior and exterior refurbishment services, emphasizing high standards and attention to detail. They are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor eager to develop their career in a supportive environment with significant growth prospects.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and dispatch tender packages to subcontractors
2. Set up job files and all necessary records
3. Collate subcontractor tenders and, in consultation with the Contracts Manager, award subcontracts
4. Check and approve subcontractor claims for payment, in conjunction with the Senior Quantity Surveyor
5. Liaise with subcontractors to resolve queries
6. Assess and cost variations to contracts
7. Update and maintain records
8. Assist with contract valuations
9. Assist with monthly cost/value reconciliations

Candidate Requirements:

• BSc in Quantity Surveying, or in the process of obtaining
• Minimum 3 years experience in Social Housing projects
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in computer literacy
