Overview

Your new company. Our client is a leading housebuilder with an extensive array of housing developments primed to commence over the next 6 to 12 months across South Yorkshire. With a very settled commercial team, an exceptional commercial director and well-respected operations team, this role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced residential Quantity Surveyor to join their business.

Responsibilities
  • As an Assistant / Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team in various aspects of cost-effective building, from quantity surveying to procurement.
  • Reporting to senior team members, assist with cost control, compiling reports, maintaining compliance with group policies, and supporting subcontractor processes.
  • Involvement in tender preparations, managing subcontractor orders and payments, and contributing to the efficiency of departmental administration.
Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will be studying or recently qualified in surveying at a UK college or university, with strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and a good standard of written English.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in a QS role within Housebuilding.
  • Methodical, organised, and able to work independently while thriving under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships; proactive and professional approach to tasks.
