Job description

The Role:

We're looking for an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join as well-established Residential New Build developer, to strengthen their construction team.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

  • Working Mon - Fri 7:30 - 4:30
  • Office based
  • Liaise with customers and project managers
  • Provide a quantity surveying service across New Build Home projects under the guidance of a Senior Surveyor
  • Check project costs are correct and raise or resolve any queries where required
  • Visit the site to measure and value works completed
  • Produce and maintain up to date procurement schedules
  • Identify and access commercial and contractual risks associated with the project
  • Assisting in preparing the monthly progress reports
  • Provide general support to Quantity Surveyors in all aspects of cost management as well as the commercial aspects of the project

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Good understanding of Construction processes
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with others where required
  • Proficiency in using relevant software for cost management, tendering and reporting
  • Effective communication skills as you'll be interacting with clients, contractors and other stakeholders
  • Must have experience working within Traditional New Build Home projects

Qualifications:

  • Valid SMSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid Certificate
