Job summary

Doufre Construction Personell is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support live partitioning and interior fit-out projects in London. You will work alongside the Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Manager from award to final account, gaining exposure to the commercial side of a specialist manufacturer and installer.

This role offers a clear route to progression to Quantity Surveyor, with competitive salary, pension, and opportunities for training towards professional qualifications.

Qualifications

• Some experience in a QS or commercial role within construction.
• Strong numeracy and ability to read drawings with attention to detail.
• Confident using Excel and maintaining accurate records.
• Organised, proactive and keen to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly valuations and payment applications.
• Measure works on site and from drawings; track progress against programme.
• Record and price variations; help with change submissions.
• Check supplier invoices and subcontractor payments.
• Prepare cost reports, CVRs and forecasts.
• Maintain commercial records including contract documents and correspondence.
• Attend site meetings; build relationships with main contractor and client teams.
• Support final account preparation and agreement.
