The Company

Their sterling reputation as a contractor has allowed them to branch out into numerous markets including: Civil Engineering & Infrastructure, Residential, Commercial & Retail, with project sizes ranging from £20m - £100m.

This role is within the Civils division, specializing in Civil and Infrastructure projects such as earthworks, section 278 works, and rail freight.

The Role

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will report to and work closely with the lead QS on-site, supporting large civil engineering & infrastructure projects valued between £20m-£80m in the Greater Midlands. As you progress, you'll have opportunities to manage your own construction packages under the guidance of the lead QS. Responsibilities include:

• Liaising with site teams and leading contract administration and record keeping
• Identifying opportunities to maximize cost and value management
• Assisting with procurement and management of subcontract packages
• Supporting internal valuations, CVR, and end-of-life forecasts
• Preparing contractual claims
• Measuring work and submitting detailed, accurate, and timely applications
• Supporting the project team in all commercial matters
