Job summary

Constructive Moves is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the residential housing division in Hertfordshire. You will work with the commercial team and assist with procurement, cost control and final accounts on schemes spanning the Northern Home Counties.

The role involves subcontractor procurement, cost management, valuations and forecasting, with a focus on procurement, payments and day-to-day project operations in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction industry and financial management.
• Desirable experience with COINS; ability to use MS Excel and Microsoft packages.

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial delivery of residential developments from procurement through to final account.
• Procurement of subcontractors, cost management and valuations.
• Forecasts and manage contract administration with a focus on procurement, payments and daily project operations.

Job description

Constructive Moves are looking to secure an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a privately owned house builder based in Hertfordshire. This opportunity will offer the chance to work on residential housing schemes across the Northern Home Counties region.

You will join the commercial department and work closely with a Senior Surveyor but also help to support the wider project team on the commercial delivery of residential developments from procurement through to final account. The role will offer the exposure to a broad range of commercial activities, including subcontractor procurement, cost management, valuations, forecasting, contract administration with a focus on procurement, payments and day to day running of a project.

It would be beneficial if you have worked with the construction industry and have a good understanding of financial management. Experience with Coins is desirable but the ability to use Microsoft packages, MS excel and spreadsheets is mandatory.

This is a permanent full-time position will be based at their regional office in Hertfordshire. The company offer hybrid working solutions and a collaborative working environment where team culture is encouraged.
