The role

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be supporting operations within our Civil Decommissioning business stream providing post-contract support for a key delivery contract.

Day-to-day, you’ll be a key member within the project delivery team responsible for supporting the manufacture of components with a key subcontractor, working collaboratively to deliver whilst correctly administering the subcontracts.

  • Ensure compliant administration of head contract and subcontracts, support in effective contract change, communications, KPI management and commercial / financial reporting.
  • Review of application for payment / invoicing / payment processes from subcontractors.
  • Provision of commercial and contractual support and advice across the project, working closely with the Commercial Manager and Project Managers.
  • Supporting the Commercial Manager with customer contract administration as required.
  • Developing contractual based arguments.
  • Supporting risk identification and management.
  • Ensuring project compliance with Cavendish Nuclear governance procedures.
  • Working closely with Project Controls to ensure correct cost control and programme management.

This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 60% days in the office/onsite and 40% days working from home and is based at our Birchwood, Warrington hub.

Essential experience
  • Experience of administering NEC3/4 contracts, preferably PSC & ECC experience.
  • Experience of administering subcontracts.
  • Experience of working within highly regulated industries.
Qualifications
  • BSc in Quantity Surveying discipline is desirable
