Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Pay:Up to £45,000 DOE
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday

Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and organised Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support our team across various construction projects in the Hampshire area. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and gain hands-on experience in cost management, procurement, and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation
  • Support procurement and subcontractor contract management
  • Help monitor project costs and track expenditure
  • Conduct site visits to gather data for valuations and progress reports
  • Assist with measurement and quantification of materials and labour
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for projects
  • Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Support compliance with health, safety, and contractual requirements


Requirements:

  • Some experience or training in quantity surveying or construction cost management
  • Basic knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes
  • Good numerical and organisational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
