A leading national housing developer in the UK seeks an Assistant Quantity Surveyor in Warrington. The role offers up to £55,000 per annum plus benefits such as a company car, flexible working, and private healthcare. The successful candidate will assist the Commercial department while developing skills towards becoming a Quantity Surveyor within a year. Strong mathematical and IT skills, along with an ONC/HNC in Construction, are required for this position.

Looking for someone who wants to progress up the ladder to QS within 12 months
Your Responsibilities:
Provide general assistance to the Commercial department as and when required.
Assist with the compiling of tender packages for sub-contract trades.
Receive tenders and assist with the analysis sheet for each trade comparing tender levels.
Assist with the issuing of sub-contract orders in accordance with Group Policy and Commercial Best Practice to budget and within programme requirements, including attend sub-contract pre-order meetings.

Required Skills:
ONC/HNC in Construction
A good understanding or building regulations and legal obligations
A good knowledge or construction methods and materials
Strong mathematical and IT ability (particularly Microsoft Excel and COINS systems)
Good understanding of standard measurement rules
Ability to assess and analyse information
Good business sense and understanding of budget management
Excellent communication, negotiating, and networking skills
Good team working skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
A methodical approach, accurate with an eye for detail, strong commitment to achieving deadlines
