You will be assisting in the management of commercial responsibilities in order to maximise profit and control costs.

Here are some of the activities you will be involved in…

  1. Produce weekly and monthly cost value reconciliations.
  2. Capture and allocate costs and liabilities.
  3. Maintain long-term relationships with internal and external teams.
  4. Manage opportunities and risks, identifying deviations from working practices.
  5. Assist in developing commercial tenders, offers, and contracts.
  6. Identify and escalate inappropriate costs.
  7. Record and track insurance claims.
  8. Maintain accurate contract data and records.
  9. Capturing and report direct labour payments; draft and award sub-contracts.
  10. Sharing best practices for continuous improvement.

We would love to hear from you if…

You have a relevant degree in construction or commercial management and experience in subcontractor management. You should have a strong commercial awareness and a thorough understanding of NEC3 forms of contract, as well as relevant construction and contract law. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with advanced Excel skills.

Also required is the ability to prioritise your own workload, act collaboratively, and inspire others to do the same. You should be proactive in identifying and promptly escalating issues, demonstrating resilience in the face of setbacks, taking personal responsibility for resolving problems, along with positively challenging situations and providing clear commercial information.
