ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to successful company expansion, my client is recruiting permanently for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to form an integral part of the current Commercial Department. Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing costs with the goal of maximizing profit on projects and ensuring payment delivery while developing client relationships. You will be involved in viewing and evaluating payments, site measurements, general surveying, reviewing and pricing variations, and preparing valuations with Project Managers and the Commercial Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or similar, with at least 2 years post-graduate experience gained with a civil engineering main contractor or specialist subcontractor in the UK. A full UK driving license and living within a commutable distance from Southampton are required due to project locations.
