Job description

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a specialist structural repairs contractor for ongoing works in the North of England.

The company are an industry leader in their field delivering a number of solutions on key projects in the North of England. Key solutions delivered include: structural concrete repair, corrosion protection, bridge strengthening, bearing replacement and concrete carriageway rehabilitation. Project values range anywhere from £1m to £5m+.

Duties will include:

  1. Commercial reporting including forecasting and wider project performance
  2. Work alongside operational team to produce accurate End Life Forecasts
  3. Manage client interface
  4. Contract Administration
  5. Provision of contractual advice to the project delivery team
  6. Aid in subcontract procurement and placement, ensuring best value for money and lowest risk achieved at all times
  7. Payment and debt management
  8. Post project appraisals and feedback loop to T & E team
  9. Attend internal and external (Client) meetings
  10. Final account compilation / submission
