This permanent role offers a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 plus Benefits and is ideal for someone with 1-3 years' experience looking to progress in the social housing sector.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or Assistant Quantity Surveying role.
• Experience on interior social housing refurbishment projects, especially voids and kitchen/bathroom replacements.
• Knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates advantageous.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, organised and responsive to changing priorities.
• Strong communication and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of planned maintenance and refurbishment projects across social housing contracts.
• Assist with cost management, valuations, subcontractor accounts, variations and commercial reporting.
• Gain exposure to a range of projects within the social housing sector.
• Work with an experienced commercial team to develop your career.

Hill McGlynn is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team based in Romford.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor with 1-3 years' experience who is looking to develop their career within the social housing sector.

The Role

Working Alongside An Experienced Commercial Team, You Will Support The Delivery Of Planned Maintenance And Refurbishment Projects Across Social Housing Contracts, Including:

• Voided properties
• Kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes
• Internal refurbishment works

You’ll assist with cost management, valuations, subcontractor accounts, variations and commercial reporting while gaining valuable exposure to a variety of projects.

What We're Looking For

• 1-3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or Assistant Quantity Surveying role.
• Experience working on interior social housing refurbishment projects, particularly voids and kitchen/bathroom replacement programmes.
