We are working in partnership with a respected private house builder to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a major residential development based in Fareham, Hampshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded and career-driven individual to support a Project Surveyor on-site, working with a company known for quality homes and long-term career growth.

The Role:

You’ll be joining an experienced commercial team and supporting the Project Surveyor with all aspects of cost and contract management on a large-scale housing project. This is a site-based role offering valuable exposure to complex residential builds and excellent progression potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with procurement, subcontractor management, and tender processes
• Support in valuations, cost reporting, and budget tracking
• Prepare and review variations, interim payments, and final accounts
• Liaise with internal site and technical teams, as well as external contractors
• Contribute to monthly CVRs and commercial updates

About You:

• 2+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within residential construction
• Familiar with UK building regs and construction methods
• Strong attention to detail and confident communicator
• Proficient in relevant commercial software and MS Office
• HNC/HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)

• Salary of £50,000 - £55,000 (inclusive of car allowance)
