Job description

MadiganGill are currently recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a client based in Midsomer Norton on a permanent basis starting ASAP.

Previous experience within a Groundworks based role would be advantageous.

Salary: - Negotiable dependant upon experience

As a key member of the team the successful applicant will be Assisting Senior members of the team with tasks such as the following:-

  • Liaising with the client to identify their needs.
  • Estimating quantities, costs and time scales for material and labour.
  • Submitting regular budget reports.
  • Preparing tender and contract documents.
  • Assigning work to subcontractors.
  • Valuing completed work, managing budgets and overseeing payments.
  • Ensuring projects meet legal and quality standards.
  • Estimating quantities, costs and time scales for material and labour and helping site to stay within their budgets.
  • Ensuring that clients get value for their money.
  • Submitting regular budget reports.
  • Following building regulations and health and safety.
  • Evaluate contracts upon receipt of tender.

Pay Rate to be be agreed and discussed at interview - Will depend upon experience

Payment options include CIS.
