Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £35,000-40,000 + benefits

We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work for a UK main contractor on a major project.

Requirements:

• Degree qualified with more than 3 years of experience in infrastructure construction projects.
• Extensive knowledge of Construction and Engineering Contracts, including NEC Option C – Target Cost with Activity Schedule for main contracts, and NEC Option C and A Sub Contracts for management of Sub-Contracts.
• Multi-discipline experience preferred but all applications will be considered.
• Prior experience with rail and bridges is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Weekly profit and loss accounts.
• Weekly subcontractor payments based on work production, including contra charges for materials and plant purchased through Enterprise.
• Monthly production reports for subcontractor work.
• Monitoring of initial target cost usage.
• Producing monthly payment applications from Thames Water.
• Participating in meetings with subcontractors.
• Assisting with interim valuations and final accounts.
• Managing documentation for subcontractor accounts, liability insurance, CIS, etc.
• Weekly value statements for analysis of work done for Enterprise and subcontractors.
• Ensuring street works measures are correct through collaboration with the operations team.
