Overview

Our client is a small, private cost consultancy practice based in the UK. Over the past 5 years, they’ve carved a sound reputation for delivering high-end residential, leisure / hospitality and hotel developments across the UK South / London area. They are now employing cost specialists and require a competent Assistant Quantity Surveyor, ideally at APC stage. In a supportive environment, your technical role will encompass a full suite of pre- and post-contract administration including some employers' agent duties, and you will initially help support a number of projects (JCT) but are expected to take further project-running responsibility in due course.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Candidate must have completed a BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying (RICS accredited) degree with PQS experience in the UK.
  • Expected to be currently employed by a UK-based PQS and be working towards their Chartership.
Personal Attributes and Skills
  • Key personal criteria includes being personable, articulate and presentable to manage clients accordingly.
  • If capable, you will be given immediate opportunities re: client management so you should demonstrate confidence and resilience in your ability to handle this level of responsibility from an early stage.
  • Candidates should also have good, competent IT software skills.
