Job summary

Spencer Ogden is recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a data centre project in West London. The role sits within a principal contractor environment delivering critical infrastructure across data, defence and energy sectors.

You will take responsibility for allocated work packages, gain hands-on commercial exposure, and develop through structured support toward professional accreditation while building experience on a flagship hyperscale-style build.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost reporting, valuations or measurement in construction projects.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced commercial team and learn quickly.
• Keen to pursue professional accreditation and develop commercial skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost value reconciliations and valuations throughout the project.
• Support forecasting and final accounts for multiple packages.
• Assist with change management, notices and entitlement on live works.
• Engage in procurement activities and subcontract account management.

About you

• HNC, HND or degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Experience in a construction or project environment, ideally with exposure to cost reporting, valuations or measurement
• Working towards (or keen to pursue) professional accreditation
• Organised, accurate and keen to learn in a fast-paced commercial team
