Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Location: Swindon | Sector: Tier 2 Regional Contractor | Salary: Up to £45,000 + Package

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to join a respected Tier 2 contractor delivering projects across education, commercial, heritage, healthcare and community sectors. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you'll support commercial functions while building your technical knowledge on live projects.

You'll work alongside an experienced team, with real pathways to progression and access to professional development, chartership support and varied project exposure.

Role Overview
  • Cost planning, estimating and tender submissions.
  • Subcontract procurement and contract management.
  • Valuations, variations and commercial reporting.
  • Final accounts and project close-out.
  • Site visits, progress reviews and commercial meetings.
  • Maintaining subcontractor and supplier relationships.
About You
  • Experience working for a main or regional contractor in an AQS or Trainee capacity.
  • Understanding of commercial processes, procurement, and measurement.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and numerical skills.
  • Motivated to progress and take responsibility over time.
  • Keen to work toward chartership or professional development (preferred).
  • Full UK driving licence.
