Job description

Role: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Location: Mid Sussex (Hybrid)

The Company:

A regional generalist building contractor working on a variety of new build, refit/refurbishment as well as maintenance projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and evaluation of tender documents, bills of quantities, and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with the Quantity Surveying team to review project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify potential cost implications.
• Assist in the valuation of work completed, managing payment applications, and ensuring accurate financial documentation.
• Support in the negotiation and settlement of variations, claims, and disputes, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and resolve any cost–related queries.
• Assist in contract administration tasks, including contract drafting, review, and management.
