Job description

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work within the commercial reactive works team, assisting the operational side to ensure the successful delivery of Framework contracts. You will maintain internal and client relationships to maximize commercial returns and manage risks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out tasks under supervision such as preparing tenders, variations, valuations, and final accounts; site management; attending site and subcontractor meetings.
  • Liaising with site management and taking responsibility for maintaining site records, controlling documents, measuring progress, and preparing payment applications.
  • Considering risk and opportunities, assisting with CVR, and understanding and implementing the commercial strategy.
  • Acting professionally at all times and being involved with traditional contracts, including interpretation of contract law, D&B contracts, and use of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Utilizing the Standard Method of Measurement and schedule of rates for quotations and payments, demonstrating clear communication, ownership, and commercial awareness.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Completed or current degree in Quantity Surveying
  • CVR appreciation and presentation skills

Desirable qualifications include:

  • HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying
