Given projected growth, this contractor is looking to add an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to their team on a site based in their head office in Barrhead.

This is an opportunity for someone to come in and make this role their own. Your primary responsibility will be to support and then eventually oversee the commercial management of a series of refurbishment contracts. The role is varied and exciting and you can be assured that no two days will look the same.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the financial and contractual control of the project from inception to final account.
  • Forecasting, monitoring and reporting accurately on every project.
  • Providing insight and guiding on all contract and commercial issues.
  • Maintaining high-quality financial control systems.
  • Compilation of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as required.
  • Responsibility for all cost control procedures, including managing and controlling the budget and valuations by always updating the estimated final costs.
  • Analysing and report on costs and cash flow using the support systems available.
Requirements

We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and outstanding commercial acumen to help the business drive excellence to ensure the projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Previous experience in a surveying role is required as is a relevant industry qualification. It would be highly desirable for you to have some experience working in the refurbishment sector, but this is not essential.

Benefits and How to Apply

In return, you will find yourself working for a growing 'employee-centric' business where hard work is valued and rewarded, a business that understands its responsibility to invest in the next through offering regular apprenticeships and personal development programmes that can be tailored to individual career goals.
