Assistant Quantity Surveyor | Barlborough

Type: Full Time | Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 Per Annum depending on experience

Our client was established in 2007, initially operating as a turnkey mechanical and electrical (M&E) management contracting company. The leadership team has expanded and includes experienced directors committed to delivering complex M&E installations within demanding timeframes. The company promotes sustainable and green technologies, working closely with project teams to implement environmentally responsible solutions.

Are you the right person for the job?

• A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying (RICS accredited) or relevant industry experience
• A full UK driving license (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• Good time management and the ability to prioritise workload under pressure
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

What will your role look like?

• Raising applications to clients
• Assisting with the creation of final accounts
• Creating forecasts to complete
• Managing subcontractor applications and variations
• Evaluating variations, dayworks, and applications for both labour and subcontractors
• Capturing and raising variations at site level and from drawings
• Re-measurement and evaluation of subcontractor works
• Liaising with the project team on financial matters related to contracts, including risk, value management, and cost control
• Ensuring subcontractor prequalification criteria are met and T&Cs are signed
