Assistant Quality Assurance Manager (251010)

Hybrid role - working from our office at One Strawberry Lane, Newcastle Upon Tyne, and from home

Permanent, full-time (37.5 hpw)

Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience) plus benefits including Health Cash Plan

Do you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for process improvement, with experience in document management systems, business change, and conducting audits to uphold high-quality standards? If so, this role supports maintaining our ISO 9001 certification across our housing and development activities, ensuring statutory, regulatory, and quality compliance.

Typical responsibilities
  • Maintain our Document Management System, including legal register, compliance, consultation, and lessons learned trackers.
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in conducting ISO 9001 audits, preparing reports, action plans, and briefing colleagues.
  • Monitor performance of our Quality Management System, investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
  • Implement and support quality assurance policies, standards, and manuals, including testing processes and team training.
  • Support change projects and collaborate across teams to drive continuous improvement.
Candidate profile
  • Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems and understanding of key requirements.
  • Strong computer skills, including SharePoint, Power BI, Power Apps, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in quality assurance within residential construction or housing, with knowledge of statutory and regulatory compliance for Registered Social Landlords and new build housing.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in change management and quality assurance.
  • Attention to detail, influencing skills, and collaborative mindset.

Job details
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday.
  • Hybrid role: at least two days in-office at One Strawberry Lane, with occasional travel to other locations for audits.
  • Driving license and vehicle are advantageous but not essential; mileage paid.
