Qualifications

• Experience with Temporary Traffic Management preferred.
• Good understanding of NEC contract.
• Knowledge of management accounts and financial reporting.
• Demonstrable experience in quantity surveying.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing costs and journal requests.
• Monitor monthly management accounts.
• Ensure timely billing of works.
• Manage client disputes and recovery of aged debt.
• Prepare revenue reports and management accounts.

Skills

Excellent negotiating Skills

Experience working within a commercial setting

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Confident with IT/Digital systems

Ability to build relationships

Full UK Driving Licence

Job Title -Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Location: North WestEngland – Hybrid (commutable to : Salford, Retford and Scunthorpe offices)

Hours: 37.5 – Monday to Friday

Salary:Competitive salary dependant on qualifications skills and experience with company benefits

About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor role is a key role within the Chevron Group, assisting the commercial and senior management team in ensuring efficient contract delivery and exceeding the budgeted performance.

Responsibilities of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

• Helping in managing costs and suggesting journal requests if needed
• Reviewing monthly management accounts and key performance information
• Monitoring and maintaining the data within the Company Inhouse Works Management System.
• Ensuring the timely and accurate billing of works
• Managing the Early Warning and Compensation Event process
• Managing client disputes
• Creating in-contract pricing, estimates and quotations
• Assisting with recovering aged debt and cash collection
• Helping to prepare revenue reports and monthly management accounts
• Contributing to the overall management of commercial aspects of all contracts, including ensuring costs and revenue in correct periods.

• Excellent negotiating Skills
• Experience working within a commercial setting
• Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of software – especially excel
• Confident to work with an IT/Digital system led solution to commercial management
• Ability to build new and existing relationships with Clients and suppliers
• Full UK Driving Licence
