Job summary

Fire And Security Careers Islington, Greater London, England is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor (M&E / Fire & Security) to support projects across London with costings, variations and payments. Take-offs using Bluebeam and evaluating tender vs.

site requirements are core duties; experience with Fire Alarm projects is not required. You will work with Project Managers to quantify variations and commercial opportunities, passing costings to the senior QS and supporting valuations

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to interpret costs, pricing and project variations.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• 3–5 site-visits per week in London.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor (M&E / Fire & Security/ Fire Alarms)

London & South East | £55,000 - £65,000 + Company Car/Allowance + BUPA + Benefits

We're looking for a commercially minded person to become an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support projects and Project managers across London with costings, variations and invoicing requests for payment, by passing costings to senior QS.

This role will focus on carrying out take-offs using Bluebeam, identifying differences between tendered works and actual site requirements, and working closely with Project Managers to understand and quantify variations, cost impacts, and commercial opportunities. You'll then provide this information to the Quantity Surveying team to support valuations, invoicing, and applications for payment.

Fire Alarm experience is not required. We're keen to hear from candidates with backgrounds in:

• Quantity Surveying
• Project Management
• Design
• M&E
• Construction or Building Services

Key Requirements

• Experience using Bluebeam for take-offs
• 3-5 days a week, visiting different sites/ PM's in London
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Experience analysing costs, pricing, and project variations
• Strong communication and reporting skills
