This is an exciting opportunity to join the National Psychology Projects as an Assistant Psychologist, where you will work with a dedicated team to make a real difference in the lives of those with Mental Health. You will have the chance to develop specialist skills and contribute to the growth of psychological projects with Elysium.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract

What you will be doing:

As an Assistant Psychologist, you will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of training and undertaking various administrative and research tasks. You will work under the supervision of a Consultant Psychologist overseeing the Psychology Projects.

You will assist with reviewing the current National Psychology Projects to help improve and grow Psychological services across Elysium, focusing initially on the psychology graduate academy content and delivery, the Clinical and Forensic Doctorate, and the CAPs programme. You will also assist in clinically related administration including audits, statistics collection, research projects, teaching, and attending key meetings.

As an Assistant Psychologist, you will be:
  • Assisting in designing and delivering specialist training
  • Maintaining clinical databases
  • Completing outcome measures
  • Writing reports for various audiences
  • Conducting service evaluations and research tasks, including data analysis and reporting
  • Undertaking clinically relevant audits
To be successful, you will have:
  • An honours degree in Psychology eligible for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS)
  • Creative thinking, clinical efficacy, and a commitment to evidence-based interventions
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Compliance with HCPC standards and BPS code of ethics
  • Experience with office systems and administrative tasks
  • Desirable: Experience as an Assistant Psychologist in forensic or mental health settings
