Job summary

Farmfield Hospital in Surrey is seeking an Assistant Psychologist to join a compassionate Psychology Department. You will work under the supervision of a Qualified Psychologist, contribute to assessments, formulations and treatment planning, and support the MDT in delivering trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• Degree in Psychology with eligibility for Graduate Membership of the BPS.
• Experience with people experiencing mental health difficulties in health/social care roles.
• Interest in forensic and mental health services and trauma-informed approaches.
• Commitment to evidence-based psychological practice and ongoing professional development.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate as part of the multidisciplinary team to support service users' recovery journeys.
• Contribute to psychological assessments, formulations and treatment planning under supervision.
• Develop positive therapeutic relationships with service users using trauma-informed practice.
• Assist in delivering individual and group psychological interventions and evaluate effectiveness.
• Maintain clinical databases and records; collect and analyse outcomes and service data.
• Produce reports and written summaries for professional audiences.
• Contribute to audit, research, service evaluation and quality improvement projects.
