Job description

Job Title: Band 4 Assistant Psychologist

We are seeking a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist to join the East Specialist Community Teams (SCT), covering Bracknell, Slough, Windsor, and Maidenhead. This is a fixed-term, full-time role (1.0 WTE) based at Fir Tree House, Upton Hospital, Slough, with travel to other sites required. Our multidisciplinary teams deliver treatments to young people with complex, severe, and enduring mental health issues.

The team is supportive, warm, and welcoming, providing regular supervision, training opportunities, and a focus on staff wellbeing. The main duties include working directly with children, young people, and families under supervision, contributing to service development, and participating in training and clinical governance activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct clinical work with children, young people, and families within the CAMHS teams.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision and professional development activities.
  • Assist in designing and implementing service development projects.
  • Attend meetings related to service planning and development.
