We have an exciting opportunity within our Early Intervention in Psychosis Psychological Services in Essex to offer a maternity leave cover role as an Assistant Psychologist. The successful applicant will work within an MDT alongside Clinical Psychologists, a Clinical Associate in Psychology, and Trainee Clinical Psychologists. The post-holder will support psychological assessments and interventions for clients experiencing a first episode of psychosis and their families, with responsibilities varying based on experience, such as offering carer psychoeducation, facilitating service user coproduction groups, and contributing to team training and service development.

Depending on experience, responsibilities may include assisting with psychological assessments (structured interviews and psychometrics), communicating outcomes to clients and professionals, and assisting with or conducting individual, family, and group interventions, as well as consultation and staff training.
The post-holder will help manage referrals, collect and evaluate intervention outcomes, and participate in service development initiatives like our lived experience consultation group. Team working skills, training, consultation, supervision abilities, and a calm disposition are essential.
