We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and highly motivated Assistant Psychologist to support staff following patient and staff safety incidents. The main role involves working alongside Principal Psychologists and psychological therapists within the staff wellbeing hub: Here for You.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and to engage in a proactive, whole-system approach to staff support. The role includes developing standardized response pathways to support resilience, providing person-centred, trauma-informed responses, and contributing to staff wellbeing initiatives.
The Assistant Psychologist will work on a one-year contract, supporting 28.5 hours across 4 or 5 days. Responsibilities include organizing support spaces, reporting on staff support activities, mapping demand, monitoring outcomes, and assisting in evaluation and resource development. You will work closely with experienced psychology staff and receive weekly supervision.
We currently provide staff support services to several NHS trusts and aim to expand our reach. This role is ideal for psychology graduates aiming for a permanent Assistant Psychologist position and future doctoral training in clinical or counselling psychology.

The role involves engaging in staff support and development projects, enhancing outreach following safety incidents, and expanding our services to the wider system. Candidates should be passionate about staff support, self-motivated, capable of managing workload, and possess strong IT and communication skills. Due to the sensitive nature of some materials, the role may involve viewing distressing content.
