Overview

We are looking for a confident Female Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding care. You\'ll be working 42 hours a week (day and night shifts) at Cygnet Newham House to make a positive difference in the lives of the people in our care.

Cygnet Newham House is a 20-bed neuropsychiatric care and treatment facility providing rehabilitation for women affected by acquired brain injuries (ABI). The hospital provides a safe and secure place to aid recovery and supports those diagnosed with a progressive neurological disease such as Huntington\'s Disease. Newham House is a modern, purpose-built facility designed to provide a clinically-led, evidence-based neuropsychiatric pathway for individuals presenting with behaviours that challenge as a result of their ABI. Our focus is to create a therapeutic, rich environment to engage the women in our care and maximise their independence.

Responsibilities
  • Support both management and team members in the day-to-day running of the service
  • Ensure duties are allocated effectively and safely
  • Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
  • Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support
  • Learn about individuals\' specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way
  • Assist with medical and welfare needs and report as required
