An exciting opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist at a leading NHS trust, providing crucial psychological care in various clinical settings. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist to join our Clinical Health Psychology Department as part of the Northern Care Alliance. The role is based at Salford Royal Hospital.
The Assistant Psychologist will support the team in providing psychological care to patients/clients across various specialist teams within the Clinical Health Psychology Department, including but not limited to Gastroenterology, Renal, Weight Management, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), and Long Covid.
All work will be carried out under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist and will involve assessment, intervention, and indirect methods such as teaching and training.
The post holder will also assist with clinically related administration, audit, research, and will play a significant role in supporting the work of the Department's Expert by Experience Patient Group (EEPG).
The successful candidate will be well-supported by qualified colleagues and will have good access to peer support with other Assistant Psychologists within the NCA.
