Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated psychology graduate to join the Adult Community Psychological Service across South East Essex. This position offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a dedicated team that values a multidisciplinary approach to mental health.
The service provides specialist community psychology delivery to three mental health teams in South East Essex. It focuses on enhancing the capacity to deliver psychological therapies and utilize psychological skills within multidisciplinary teams (MDTs). The service has undergone restructuring to improve therapy delivery and psychological skill utilization, with strong leadership from the Clinical Director of Psychological Services, who supports staff development through supervision and CPD opportunities.
Main duties of the job
The Assistant Psychologist will collaborate with qualified psychologists, psychotherapists, and clinical associates, providing assessment, treatment, consultation, and supervision within the Adult Community Psychological Service. The role involves supporting clinical and research skills development, co-facilitating group therapy, participating in audits and research, and engaging with multidisciplinary teams through meetings and supervision.
