An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist to join the Oxford Crisis and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT). This multidisciplinary team provides highly specialist care to patients at home as an alternative to hospital admission.

The OxfordCRHTT remains in an exciting phase of transformation and development; with psychological input highly valued and prioritised.

You would be joining a small supportive team of CRHTT psychologists across the Trust. You would also be part of the wider Acute Psychology Service offering excellent opportunities for shared learning and peer support. Supervision and management would be provided by the Clinical Psychologists already embedded within the CRHTT. CPD opportunities are available to help you consolidate your therapeutic skills and progress in your career.

Main duties of the job

The Oxford CRHTT offers assessment, formulation and brief therapeutic interventions to a small caseload of service users experiencing asignificant crisis in their mental health and psychological well-being. The CRHTT receive a breadth of referrals, providing the opportunity to workwith a variety of presentations using different therapeutic approaches.

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist to enhance the psychological provision to the team. Under the supervision of a clinical psychologist, you will have the opportunity to deliver a range of psychological interventions to service users in their own homes. There may also be the opportunity to develop and deliver group interventions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with formulation and delivery of care plans involving psychological intervention, under the supervision of the Principal Clinical Psychologist
• Developing the psychological skillset of the team through contribution to training/teaching/supervision/consultation and reflective practice
• Curation of appropriate psychological resources
• Attendance and contribution to appropriate multi- disciplinary meetings
• Service development and evaluation/audit
• Involvement in ongoing clinical research projects
• General admin and support of the core business of the team
