We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and highly motivated psychology graduate to join the UCLH Staff Psychology & Welfare Service (SPWS). The ideal candidate is aiming to pursue a career in Psychology and is working towards a doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support our hospital workforce in coping with the impacts of the pandemic and ongoing healthcare challenges. The service has been in place for over 20 years at UCLH, and this position aims to enhance its capacity.

Main duties of the job

The main responsibilities include:

  • Developing resources to support the embedding of the sexual safety charter.
  • Supporting the SSC Psychologists in developing and implementing a new pathway for staff reporting sexual violence.
  • Supporting triages, assessments, and groups for staff affected by sexual violence and abuse.
  • Assisting the Pathway Lead in communicating the new support pathway across the Trust.

  • Providing information and self-help materials, and supporting self-help groups.
  • Delivering low-intensity interventions such as psycho-educational programs, guided self-help, and 'holding spaces' for staff.
  • Developing training packages for staff teams.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary meetings regarding referrals and client treatment.
  • Mapping demand, monitoring outcomes, and contributing to evaluations, newsletters, and resource updates.
  • Offering evidence-based low-intensity psychological treatments, including guided self-help, CBT, and ACT, via face-to-face, telephone, or digital media.
