Assistant Psychologist

Salary: £26,000 per annum


Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00

Job Overview

Are you an experienced Assistant Psychologist familiar with working with individuals with complex mental health needs? Are you seeking a new challenge with one of the UK's largest providers of specialist social care services? If so, this opportunity may be for you.

We are looking to appoint a full-time Assistant Psychologist to support our service users during their rehabilitation at Uplands Care Home in Fareham, Hampshire. Uplands provides high-quality assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and ongoing care for individuals aged 18-65.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological input under supervision of qualified and trainee psychologists, including assessment, formulation, and treatment within your professional competency.
  • Work within professional guidelines and departmental policies, utilizing research skills for audit, policy, and service development.
  • Support the implementation of psychological treatment plans and contribute to care outcomes.
  • Assist in psychological assessments, using various data sources and tools, under supervision.
  • Contribute to care planning using evidence-based therapeutic methods.
  • Implement psychological interventions individually and in groups, adapting to service user needs.
  • Support treatment outcomes and adjust approaches as necessary under supervision.
  • Participate in risk assessments and contribute to a psychologically informed framework of care.
