Job Overview

Tayside Psychological Therapies Service and Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) are seeking to appoint a 1.0 WTE Band 5 Assistant Psychologist. The role involves:

  1. Contributing to a funded research project evaluating suicide risk formulation training and developing a new model of suicide risk management for Adult Mental Health (0.8 FTE).
  2. Supporting the delivery of the CAMHS Dialectical Behavioural Therapy programme (0.2 FTE).

The ideal candidate should be committed to the scientist-practitioner model, demonstrating clinical skills with young people and adults with complex presentations and at risk of suicidality, as well as research skills such as systematic review, case note audit, and focus groups.

Responsibilities

  • Support research and clinical activities under supervision of a qualified Psychologist.
  • Work across various settings within Tayside with access to clinical supervision and peer support.

Qualifications

  • Completed an undergraduate Psychology Honours Degree with a minimum 2:1 grade.
  • Eligible for graduate basis registration with the British Psychological Society.
