We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to join the Mental Health team at Derwentside IRC, a female Immigration Removal Centre near Consett, County Durham.

This is a brand new role, created due to the growth of the Psychology department - you can really make this role your own! You will be working with the onsite Psychologist and a close-knit mental health team. Derwentside IRC is a smaller centre, with a capacity of 84 residents, currently housing 64. This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients and delivering outstanding care. You will offer vital support to your patients alongside the onsite Psychologist. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work in an ever-changing, challenging, yet rewarding environment.

**Hours:** This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00.

**Salary:** Up to £30,660 per annum, depending on experience.
