Are you passionate about supporting individuals in the criminal justice system to improve their psychological health and wellbeing? Devon Partnership NHS Trust is looking for a dedicated and motivated Assistant Psychologist to join our Enhanced Reconnect Team, working within the Southwest Peninsula Criminal Justice and Probation Services.
The service provides support to individuals within the criminal justice system returning to the South West peninsula. The post holder will work collaboratively across probation, health, and voluntary sector partners to help service users to access and engage with services to reduce health associated vulnerabilities.
The role includes supporting individuals with complex mental health needs, a history of trauma impacting on emotional and interpersonal difficulties, learning difficulties, neurodiversity issues, , substance and alcohol dependence issues
The service offer assessment and formulation to consider needs and support in accessing and engaging with the appropriate services within the community.

Main duties of the job
As an Assistant Psychologist within the Enhanced Reconnect Team your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering psychologically informed interventions to support service users with complex needs.
- Assisting in the collection, analysis, and reporting of service data, including for NHS Quarterly and local performance monitoring.
- Supporting the development of Level 1 and Level 2 psychological formulations under the supervision of a qualified psychologist.
- supporting input into databases and using advanced IT skills to support audit, research, and service evaluation initiatives.
- Planning, organising, and co-facilitating psychoeducational groups for service users, alongside supporting workforce development training.
- Contributing to service improvement and quality initiatives under supervision.
- Liaising with key stakeholders across probation, healthcare, criminal justice, and third-sector organisations to ensure coordinated support for service users.

- Honours degree in psychology and the qualification renders the applicant eligible for graduate membership of the BPS or a BA or BSc (Hons) in modular studies incl. psychology & related fields.

- Further post graduate training in relevant area of professional psychology, health and social care practice, and / or research design and analysis

- Significant clinical experience in any setting
