Join a leading NHS Trust as an Assistant Psychologist in the At Risk Mental State Service. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to support individuals with mental health needs, deliver psychological interventions, and contribute to service evaluation while receiving supervision and training opportunities. An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Psychologist to work within the At Risk Mental State Service (ARMS), part of the Early Intervention in Psychosis Service (EIS).
Your role involves working closely with the EIS therapies team and the wider multi-disciplinary team to support psychological therapies and assessments.
Responsibilities include delivering low-intensity psychological interventions, conducting service audits, neurodevelopmental assessments, and taking a lead in clinically related administrative tasks. You will work under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist and independently within the framework of EIS policies and procedures.
Opportunities for clinical supervision, training, and service development are available. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, engaging individuals with ARMS in psychological interventions, and contributing to psychological needs assessments including risk assessments and formulations.
You will carry out psychometric assessments under the guidance of qualified psychologists and support information gathering for Autistic Spectrum Condition assessments when required.
Assist qualified psychologists in delivering consultations, formulations, and training to the wider team. You will also be responsible for addressing concerns, adverse reactions, or risks during interventions and escalating these appropriately.
Participate in clinical supervision, ensuring issues are discussed and addressed. Maintain dignity, respect, confidentiality, and diversity in all interactions.
Work with individuals with complex mental health needs, supporting the evaluation of the ARMS service through audits, outcome measures, and research projects.
Ensure the safety and security of service users and staff at all times.
