We are excited to offer a full-time Assistant Psychologist position within the Urgent Care Team at Forward Thinking Birmingham (FTB).

FTB is an innovative community and inpatient mental health service providing care pathways for 0–25-year-olds. It is the first service of its kind nationally, serving both the largest local authority and the youngest population in Europe.

We seek a strong candidate to join our team, working alongside Clinical Psychologists and multidisciplinary colleagues to support young people experiencing mental health crises. The role includes weekly clinical supervision from a Clinical Psychologist.

Opportunities include supervised clinical practice such as 1:1 work, multidisciplinary team collaboration, co-delivery of training, audits, and service development and evaluation.

We welcome psychology graduates with relevant clinical experience who are passionate about promoting emotional wellbeing and mental health among children and young people. Ideal candidates are compassionate, brave, ambitious, eager to learn, and open to developing their skills within our service's scope.
