Job responsibilities

We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Cygnet Cedars.

This role involves working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Cygnet Cedars

Cygnet Cedars is a 23-bed high dependency complex care service for men with learning disabilities, associated complex needs, and challenging behaviors. We accept emergency referrals, and our team is experienced in managing them efficiently to ensure smooth transitions for individuals.

Your Day-to-Day

We seek an academically strong candidate to support and enhance psychological care by assisting the Qualified Psychologist with:

  • Contributing to assessments, scoring, and reporting (verbal/written)
  • Clinical formulation and care plan implementation for psychological treatments
  • Planning, delivering, and evaluating individual/group programs
  • Administration, audit, research, and service development

We are looking for someone who is

  • Degree qualified in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent
  • BPS (British Psychological Society) Accredited
  • Preferably experienced in healthcare and/or in an Assistant Psychologist role
  • Passionate about learning and working as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Qualified to Masters degree level or higher in Psychology (preferable)
