Job summary

Legalandgeneral, trading as L&G, is seeking an Assistant Propositions Manager to join our Product & Propositions Development team within Retail Protection. You will work with data, detail and product insight to support a broad range of activity and help drive better customer outcomes.

You’ll develop knowledge in tax and trust over time and collaborate with colleagues across Finance, claims, underwriting and pricing to support proposition activity, launches and internal approvals.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of Retail Protection products, ideally including critical illness and income protection.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the review and development of Retail Protection products through MI, market and competitor analysis.
• Producing clear reports and insight summaries to identify opportunities and improve customer outcomes.
• Collaborating with Finance, claims, underwriting, pricing, servicing, IT and change to support proposition activity.
• Preparing supporting documents for product development approvals and internal committees.
• Assisting product launches through sales briefings, training materials and product information updates.
• Monitoring competitor activity and comparison portals such as FTRC and CI Expert.
• Responding to product and proposition queries from distribution and internal teams.

Job Description

We’re looking for an Assistant Propositions Manager to join our Product & Propositions Development team within Retail Protection. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, detail and product insight, and who wants to build a career in propositions.

You’ll support a broad range of product and proposition activity, from competitor analysis and MI reporting through to internal product information, stakeholder queries and launch support. Over time, there will also be the opportunity to develop knowledge in tax and trust, a specialist area that is important to the future resilience of the team.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting the review and development of Retail Protection products through MI, market and competitor analysis

Who we're looking for:

• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with MI, Excel and data
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate and well-structured information
• Curiosity and a genuine interest in learning how products, propositions and customer outcomes connect
• Ability to communicate clearly with different stakeholders across the business
• A proactive, organised and team-focused approach to managing varied work
• Confidence making practical recommendations from data, competitor insight or product information
• Experience in claims, operations, underwriting, distribution or product/propositions would be helpful
