Assistant Property Manager / Student Accommodation Housing Officer with previous experience in front line customer service, helping vulnerable people, and excellent communication and Microsoft Office skills is required to join our Specialist Housing - Student & Keyworker team at A2Dominion in Oxford, Oxfordshire.

SALARY: £29,257 per annum + Generous Benefits

LOCATION: Oxford, Oxfordshire (OX4) – 100% Site Based

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

KEY REQUIREMENT: Candidates MUST hold a full, clean driving licence

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Property Manager / Student Accommodation Housing Officer with experience in delivering front line customer service, helping vulnerable people, and possessing excellent communication and Microsoft Office skills.

In this role, you will ensure residents receive exceptional service, feel at home, and that properties are well-managed and compliant. You will assist in delivering high-quality housing management, act as a single point of contact for residents, and handle tasks from tenancy paperwork to liaising with contractors.

DUTIES

  • Participate in accommodation allocation, issue tenancy paperwork, manage end of tenancy processes, and ensure properties are ready to let.
  • Handle reception duties, greet visitors, answer calls, manage appointments, and provide administrative support.
  • Carry out administrative tasks, be the point of contact for customers and partners, issue letters and notices, produce invoices, and respond to inquiries.
  • Assist with low-level arrears management to maximize income.
  • Report and escalate repairs as needed.
  • Monitor contractor performance, liaise on inspections, and maintain records.
  • Conduct estate and property inspections, maintain records, and address issues.
  • Monitor expenditure against budgets and assist with service charge estimates.
  • Support occupants in good housekeeping and fire safety practices.
  • Resolve customer queries promptly, liaising with operational teams, customers, and partners.
  • Maintain documentation to required standards.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent A2Dominion at meetings and forums when required.
  • Produce performance reports to support tenancy management objectives.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Educated to GSCE level (Grades A*-C) in Math and English or equivalent
  • Experience in front line customer service
  • Problem-solving skills, especially with vulnerable customers
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Housing experience is desirable but not essential
